Guest and Respite Accommodation at the Kenya NCD Resource and Support Center provides comfortable, affordable, short-stay rooms within the Center's grounds — embedded in the therapeutic environment of its healing gardens, quiet spaces, and community facilities. It is not a hospital ward. It is a peaceful, home-like space designed for rest, recovery, and renewal.
For patients travelling from remote areas for multi-day treatment programs — intensive rehabilitation courses, pre-surgery prehabilitation, palliative care admissions, or extended diagnostic workups — the accommodation removes the impossible choice between receiving necessary care and spending unaffordable amounts on transport and lodging. Guests have full access to all Center services during their stay and receive NCD-appropriate meals prepared in the Center's kitchen.
For caregivers — the spouses, children, parents, and siblings who provide most of Kenya's NCD care without pay, recognition, or rest — the respite accommodation offers something profoundly simple and profoundly rare: a break. A few days of supported rest, with their loved one safely cared for at the Center, can restore the physical and emotional reserves that sustained caregiving demands. Supporting caregivers is not a luxury — it is what keeps the whole care system functioning.
